7a*11d is a bi-annual Toronto-based festival of international performance art, that takes place in various galleries and public spaces across the city. Two of our good friends sit on the curatorial collective that produces the fest, and ever year without fail we somehow miss the entire thing. But not this year! This year we put it on our to-do list.
Some performance highlights: a guy sewing a hunk of meat, a woman covered in molasses and buried in beer bottles, a man in a suit trapped in a box, and a sadistic lady with a lethal glow-in-the-dark hula hoop. (That last one gave me nightmares.) (Also, she hit me in the face.)
