2012 was a physically active year for us. I’d say it was the most physically active year we’ve ever had. 2012 was the year we climbed mountains, paddled rivers, hiked through jungles and caves, learned to scuba, to trapeze, to curl, and even how to chop drown a tree.
At no point in the year did we commit to a regimented gym schedule, or adhere to any kind of daily work-out routine. John did his “climbing thing” at the climbing gym, and I did my “dance thing” at home, and that’s about the extent of it.
Admittedly, at some point in the year, I think we realized that in order to seriously get washboard abs we’d have to dedicate way more time and energy on our abs than we cared to dedicate. Eventually, we just stopped thinking about it. (In the end, I guess getting six-packs was just not that important to us.)
Six packs or not, I speak for the both of us when I say, we’ve never felt as fit and healthy as we do today.
Just the way it should be!
