Tightrope walking has been around for thousands of years. Slacklining, on the other hand, is a relatively new pastime. Invented by a couple rock climbers back in the 80’s, it’s a fun, accessible, and challenging practice in balance and stamina. And you don’t have to be a circus freak to give it a go.
Yesterday, after a productive day at work, we biked down to Cherry Beach. Before limbering up and bouncing around on a 1-inch nylon webbing, we drank us a yummy bottle of grape-less wine (another to-do on the list); in retrospect, probably not the best combination, but we had fun.
FYI: This is how it’s suppose to be done…
