I get the impression that not a whole lot of people pop into the Toronto Historical Archives. Before arriving, I had called earlier in the day and spoke to a nice gentleman on the phone about their location and hours of operation. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the same man who said rather excitedly, “Hi! You must be the lady that called earlier?”( I thought that was kinda cute.)
After filling out a basic form, we received our research cards. We now have full access to thousands upon thousands of historical documents, photographs, maps, and city plans. No doubt our cards will come in handy the next time we decide to do another crazy historical public art performance like this one.
