As a dancer and closet musicals fan, I’m pretty embarrassed by how long it’s taken me to discover Gene Kelly via Singin’ in the Rain. What a sweet, perfect, Wednesday-night film. And John actually dug it. Seriously.

this movie makes me want to get up from my seat and dance. i remember being taken to see it when I was in highschool, by my boyfriends father, i was lucky. back then you could smoke in the bloor cinema – times have changed. since then i’ve watched it a dozen times. Gene the savant dancer.
